TGIF!

It has been cold and rainy here the past few days so not much mojo for Copic coloring, but I am still organizing my scrap room. Today I wanted to share a couple organization methods that I use for my stamps.
              Organization Tip #4.

This first method I adopted from You Tube for my 1.00 stamps. They fit perfectly in these 9 pocket trading card sleeves. I leave the acetate sheets on the front and back of each set for extra protection and for ease of getting them out of the pockets. These sleeves were purchased from Amazon in a pack of 100 for only $13.00.

               Organization Tip #5

I used the same 4x6 sleeves and 5x8 sleeves that I used for organizing my Spellbinder Nestabilities. They work perfect for the 4x6 sets of stamps (i.e. Some Odd Girl). The Penny Black stamp sets are a bit wider so they fit in the 5x8 full sleeves perfectly. What I like about this method is that you do not have to cut up the stamp sets to place them in CD cases or zipper pockets. I keep the acetate sheets on the front and back of these sets as well. Right now I have these in a 5x8 binder from Staples but they only come in a one inch binder width so I am hoping that I can find a larger width 5x8 binder so that I can keep all the same brands in their own book. So far this is working beautifully for my craft area and with all of them being in clear fitted sleeves I feel that I can see all my stamps and will probably be using them all more. I hope this helps some of you, who were frustrated like I was, to organize and see your stamps. If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas for me feel free to comment below.  I hope to get alot of crafty things done this weekend and that the weather gets warmer because I love working in a sunlight warm room.

Thanks for stopping by today and have yourself a creative weekend!!!

Happy Tuesday!

Hello scrappy peeps! I just returned from visiting my family up north. It was a busy weekend to say the least. I helped my mom clean and organize her scrapbook room more like a one stall garage smile. So that was a task in itself. I meant to take pictures to post on here but my phone was dying and wouldn't take any picture or video. While I was there I did find some good deals at various places up there. There was a Dollar General that was going out of business so everything was 50% off so found a few summer fun things for Zane. I did managed to make it to Hobby Lobby and Joann's since I do not have either of those scrappy places in my area. Hobby Lobby was Spellbinder heaven so I managed to pick up 2 new ones. At Joann's they had a sale on stamps and I found a vintage paper pack in the clearance bin Mainstreet by DCWV plus I had a coupon for an additional 20% off. So it was a pretty sweet haul trip. I also managed to find a magnetic board for my scrapbook room to stick my scissors and such to so I will be hanging that up soon and taking a picture so you all can see. In between all this traveling and organizing I did get some coloring in.
I used a Some Odd Girl stamp and Mo Manning image for these to colorings. I really loved out they turned out. I also made my first attempt at black hair on this Greeting Farm Cheeky Rockabilly. I was really surprised at how well I got it to blend out and show that vintage look. So I can't wait to get her on a card.
I have two birthday cards to get done this week for my stepdad and aunt so I hope that mojo is on my side and I can get those whipped out. Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday and as always have a Scraptastic day!

My first Odd Girl Stamp!

Hello scrappy friends!  Hope everyone had a wonderful & blessed Easter. The Easter bunny stopped by our house and left Zane a huge bucket of goodies and he got to do several egg hunts. He was super excited to get his crabby boat from the movie CARS 2. With that said, I was finally able to sit down for a few minutes before Zane woke up this morning to color up this Some Odd Girl stamp. I got this stamp because it reminded me so much of Zane and his dog Tito. I will be putting this on a card sometime in the near future. Maybe I'll give it to Zane for his 3rd birthday or to his Dad for Father's Day!
I am still not sure how I will do his eyes since my son has steel gray/bluish eyes and I do not have a good combo for that. So if anyone has any suggestions for that please do let me know.

Organizational Find #3

Happy Monday Everyone! I wanted to share a great find with all of you who may be looking for a storage solution for your Copic Markers. I wanted to get something that I could display my markers at home to make it easier to work on cards/projects. I was at Target the other day and found the perfect solution. It is a  made by Rubbermaid. It is a cube 12.1 in x 12.1 in x 6.4 in called Bento. It has flex dividers built into the cube which allow you the freedom to decide the size of the cube you want to use. The great thing I loved about this cube was that it is stackable and also they sell a cover that goes over the top which is great because I have a 2.5yr old that I do not want getting into my markers. The height is perfect for Copic Markers as you can see below so that you can still stack them if you wish. Rubbermaid makes 5 different sizes and shapes of these boxes with the flex dividers.
So in this cube I have 258 markers and it doesn't even fill up all the dividers. I thought it would be more difficult to have them out of numeric order as I used to keep my markers in the 72 marker wallets, but I have been coloring several images over the past few days and I have been able to find my colors quickly and easily just like before. So I am really excited to have found this item. I hope this helps some of you.

Happy Scraptastic Monday!
